Manage my PhD documents

Dissertation

Hello, I am facing a major problem while managing my files during PhD.
I have just started my PhD, and in the initial stage only, I have a bundle of documents which I need to keep safe because I will need them in my whole PhD program. So, tell me how to keep them safe.

When I was doing PhD I used to classify my files on the basis of year, subject, and within that based on the level of importance such as files with high, medium and low importance.

I think she has given you the best idea. You can also do one thing to interchange the sequence or include parameters on which you would want to filter the files further.

Keep your files in any sequence you want, but don’t forget to keep a backup. As I lost all my files when I was doing my PhD and I didn’t even have any backup.
