Algorithms

Hi, I have just completed my Masters and now willing to do my PhD in prediction on the behavior of materials under dynamic loads. Can anyone suggest me with which algorithm should I go with for giving my pre-project presentation?

For this case, Model predictive controller with optimization algorithms such as Genetic algorithm or particle swarm optimization algorithm can be used for efficient prediction of the behavior of different materials.
