Sampling in data analysis

Sample

I have no idea about sampling and what is the ideal sample size, i know nothing. I am student researching on different medicines and their effect on people with different age groups but have no idea how to choose my sample population for data collection because of which i am stuck in between.
Someone help me, please.

The results of your research are greatly dependent on your sampling. Sample size is the most crucial decision to make. Keeping in mind the ultimate goal to have minimum number of mistakes and get closest to accuracy, a large sample size is constantly favored.
