SPSS vs STATA for data analysis

I want to perform data analysis in social science. For this purpose, which is the most suitable statistical tool that can be used? I have shortlisted and have ended up in confusion between SPSS and STATA. Please clear my confusion.

Go for SPSS. this is way better than any other statistical tool that can be used for data analysis. I have personally used this tool and trust me, it can conduct multivariate analysis.

Kumar, although SPSS can conduct multivariate analysis effortlessly, it cannot used for cutting-edge research. For this purpose you have to use STATA.

Keerthi, STATA is hardly used in social science. It is mainly used in economics. Also it cannot analyse complex data and is weak when compared to that of SPSS in terms of data analysis. Also using SPSS, you can develop outputs into the reports directly.
