Substantive editing is ideal if you need to analyse the logical flow, accuracy of the content, inclusion of information, and coherence of the arguments. And copy writing does in-depth edit of the thesis and cuts down wordiness, tighten the language and create a better reader experience. Editing copy for spellings, grammar and punctuation returns a paper free from language errors.

Hi Nadeemjmi. a) Substantive editing evaluates a document as a whole. Some sentences may be eliminated or added in substantive editing. At so the paragraphs may be rewritten, compressed, or expanded. Whereas copy editing corrects grammatical errors, style, repetition, word usage, and jargon. Substantive editing checks for Structure, Language and Content. b) On the other hand copy editing checks for error in the spellings, capitalization, punctuation, verb tenses and other grammatical errors. It also involves checking for continuity, sentence structure, paragraph lengths, word choices, and missing words. In simple words, copy editing involves correcting the language of the text. Do you want to edit your thesis?
