What is the worth of PhD?

I am a  PhD student in sports management and just contemplating my career choices. Before starting with PhD I was so clear about my career choice, but lately, I am having second thoughts.
See, PhD is extremely relevant in the academic and research world, but will it benefit me if I choose a different direction? such as something in marketing or sales? I mean what will be the worth of PhD in those fields?

You should feel lucky enough that you are getting a chance to do it. I agree with above user that many students don’t even get a chance to do it, and I am one of them. So, please don’t stop doing it and it will help you in your future.
Do consult with your peers and supervisor before coming to a conclusion though

According to me, PhD is for personal growth as you learn new things while doing it. Don’t just think you shouldn’t do it because it will not help you in academics.
I think if you are getting a chance to do it you should definitely do it.
