What parameters should be taken into consideration for transformer application

Hi, I am a second year PhD researcher and presently researching in the field of advanced fins for transformer application. Can any one suggest me on what parameters should be taken into consideration while deciding on fins?

The main parameters which has to be considered in fins are: Conduction, convection and radiation with respect to time for the transformer application. Fins are generally used to increase the surface area and it is mainly termed as convection paramters. Hence in this case the fins has to be devloped by incorporating convection parameters as a main focus.
