Which software is most recommended for RRM?

2 years ago in Software By Shami

Hi, if you are analysing a random regret minimization model manually, then which of the softwares among SAS, R, or STATA is considered to be the most appropriate?

Is there any other opinion as well for the same?

Any other suggestions in regards to RRM model analysis are also welcomed.

Dear Shami, in the STATA software, there is a command named as randregret. It can be used for different RRM models including the classic model, pure-RRM model, generalized RRM model, and the muRRM model too.   I am naming a few studies in which these models are analysed with the help of this command. I hope it helps you with your project.  A Random Regret-Minimization model of travel choice (2008) A New Model of Random Regret Minimization (2010) A Generalized Random Regret Minimization Model (2014) New insights on Random Regret Minimization Models (2015)   As for the source codes and examples to get an idea, you can check the following link : https://github.com/alvarogutyerrez/randregret   This should be able to clear any doubts, but still if you need any clarity, you can ask me. Best Regards, Nathaniel.

Hi Shami. Of course it is possible to use R driven software and in fact there are others too.  https://www.advancedrrmmodels.com/   Go to this link and you can check the work on RRM models by the professor. They have provided different software applications for analysing RRM models too for a better understanding. You can check out the different softwares and use the one you are aware of because to be honest, it is important to stick to specialties when it comes to technology based research works.   However, if you want to try something new, then you can take assistance from experts too. https://www.chanakya-research.com/

Hello, I guess you should go through the Apollo user manual to get integrated help on RRM models. You can find the answers related to your question in chapter 5 in the linked pdf or directly go to page number 45. It has simplified how to manually analyse the RRM model  and have a reference link as well which can provide you further guidance. http://www.apollochoicemodelling.com/files/Apollo.pdf
