Which turbulence model is widely used in aerospace research?

I want to finalize a model for tubulence which can used in aerospace research. Could any one suggest some advanced models which can be employed for this research

Spalart-Allmaras model has been widely used as it is extensively validated for external flows and has good agreement with experimental results in aerospace applications. It is a single transport equation model and offers less computing time when compared to K-epsilon and K-omega turbulent models. It is widely used in turbo machinery simulations. Also it is best suitable in predicting drag and lift for a small variation in angle of attack. But when it comes to study the flow characteristics or flow separation in wing-body configuration it is better to go with SST model with RANS.
