Peer review for science paper

5 years ago in Journal paper writing By Veena

I want to submit my paper to the journal publication to get it published. Before submission I want to get my paper peer reviewed by the experts. My research domain is science. Which kind of peer review will be used here?

Veena, in science field two types of peer review are used. They are single-blind review and open-peer review.

Veena as mentioned by Reema, single blind peer review is definitely used in science field. But am not very much sure about the open peer review. In single peer review process, the name of the reviewer is not disclosed. Benefits of using single blind review are The reviewer can honestly review the work without fearing the criticism as the writer wouldn’t know the details about the reviewer. By knowing the affiliation of the writer, the reviewer can use the earlier research of the writer and use them.

Please explain me about open peer review as well.

Sure. In open peer review process, the identity of the author as well as the reviewer will be disclosed. Today the majority of the journals are using open peer review process. Some journals also publish the reviews along with the final articles. This is however only with the accepted articles.
