I need help in designing a novel routing protocol that ensures reduced communication time; attack detection and improved security. I am willing to design for an urban environment. Can anyone suggest a few possibilities for this research??

VANET networks help users to communicate frequently through various network nodes. Usually this communication happens based on defined protocols which makes the transmission easier. Since a number of users are connected over VANET, security remains to be a major issue. For this we can consider employing an encryption approach towards the routing protocols. Various routing protocols like AODV, DYMO etc can be incorporated with encryption algorithms to improve the security issues. You can rather inject different attacks like wormhole, Sybil attacks etc to check the research significance
