STATA

While doing my PhD I came across a software called STATA, and I am confused about in which kind of studies STATA is used. Also, please brief me on what is this software? And how can I use this in my study?

STATA is somewhat similar to SPSS, but the only difference between the two is, STATA can develop both codes and a GUI, whereas, SPSS can only develop a GUI. So, if you know what SPSS is, you can also understand the concept of STATA keeping this basic difference in mind.

If you are doing econometric studies, then you can go for STATA, and it can also be used when the data collected in your research is financial.
STATA can help you in data management, statistical analysis, graphics, simulations and in custom programming. It is one of the best softwares one can use in the study.
