Tips to write the results section


How do I write the findings or results section? I’m stuck with this chapter. I don’t know what needs to be included here. Please guide me.

The findings chapter must include: Data represented in graphs, charts, tables, and other figures A brief report on data collection,data analysis, and participants ( if involved) Data corresponding to the crucial research question Secondary findings

Nithin has already mentioned what needs to be included in this chapter. Here I will just mention the general tips to write this chapter. Write your result section in an objective manner. Write it as accurately and precisely as possible. Have a well-constructed and simple sentence structure. Use active voice rather than passive voice as it is mostly recommended by the University or high impact journal. Ensure that the grammar, spelling and punctuation are implemented in a proper manner to convey the intended meaning.

a) Include an overview of how the chapter is set out. b) Do not refer to every single result. Include results that are relevant to the points you discussed in previous chapters. c) Remind the reader about the research question, the operations performed and then provide the findings. d) Use figures, tables, diagrams or charts to illustrate complex results.
