How to publish the thesis in journal?

PhD Thesis

My supervisor suggested me to get my thesis published in a journal (Yes, I have completed my PhD thesis). I want to know why should I publish at all and what are the steps included in publishing the thesis in journal. Can someone please guide me on this?

Usually if your thesis is really contributing to the area of research and has high research quotient, you should only then consider publishing it in a journal. If you have done such an intense research, publishing it will help you gain recognition and you can be called in for guest faculty and it also enhances your resume.However, conversion of a thesis to a book involves a process which is as under – 1.Look for a publisher who is publishing academic books. Check this http://www.publishing.editnpublish.com 2.Submit your thesis to get the same reviewed by pro editors 3.They might ask you to make some changes and do them as asked for 4.Pay the fees required to make it a reality 5.Do check on the royalty and it’s process 6.Also, find out if the publisher is providing you with ISBN number or not and can you get a e-version of the book as well? 7.Finally, ask for some sample copies for yourself.
