Query regarding Scilab

Research Objectives

I’m performing numerical computation using Scilab. Now my software is lagging behind and I cannot work with it anymore. Should I update my software to 6.0.0? What’s new in Scilab 6.0.0? Will the new features help me to smoothly perform numerical computation?

Hi. All I know is about the features offered in scilab 6.0.0. I’m not sure if it will help you with your work. Rewrite core – This software is claimed to have refined grammar and language, which makes error handling easy. Command line debugger – To enhance script writing, the new version includes a debugger, which runs scripts step-by-step. XCOS – XCOS is a graphical editor to design hybrid dynamical models of either mechanical or hydraulic functions.

Hey Fathima. It is better to use MATLAB to conduct numerical computation. Scilab is not widely used and has several disadvantages. 1. It is not a very flexible programing language 2. Understanding from the scilab documentation is very challenging 3. It is difficult to analyze two or more non-constant parameters
