Research Objectives

Which are the common techniques followed in molecular biology? If possible please give a brief explanation about them.

Keerthi, as much as I know, some of the techniques commonly used in this field are Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Gel electrophoresis, Expression cloning, and Macromolecule blotting.

Deepa, the ones you mentioned are not the techniques.They are the methods used to study the molecular basis of biological activity.

Techniques in molecular biology include DNA cloning, bacterial transformation, cellular screening, extraction of DNA, cellular culture, DNA polymerase DNA dependent, DNA synthesis, mutations, random mutagenesis, and point mutation.
