Choosing an appropriate research topic is very important. Your entire research paper will depend on the topic you chose. Choose a topic that interests you, is unique and novel.

Nisha while selecting a topic avoid such topics: Topics based on single sources of information – do not choose a topic where all the data on it is based on a single source. In such a case critical analysis of literature becomes difficult. Topics that are technical – you will end up struggling with your research paper if you choose a topic that is too technical. Choose something that does not include too many technical jargons. Controversial topic – never choose a controversial topic. It will become difficult for you to defend your paper and such topic may also hurt sentiments of your peers.

Anubhav is absolutely right. Name also remember, never select a topic that is too broad or narrow. And select a topic that suits your audience.
