Conditions to be followed while designing a questionnaire


Is there any specific condition I need to follow while designing a questionnaire? What needs to be avoided while designing a questionnaire Any suggestions?

Yes there are. Do not ask respondents to provide their personal information (age, race, income level, etc.). This may offend some individuals and may stop them from completing your survey questionnaire. (note – if such information is necessary for your research, then include them at the end of the questionnaire).

Sonam, if you have included plenty of questions in your questionnaire, then organise the questions so that the respondents can answer in a minimum period. I.e. classify them according to the subject & general questions. Also each question must be kept brief and precise to prevent any kind of confusion among individuals. Any question that is unnecessary or is irrelevant to your study shouldn’t be included in the questionnaire.
