phenomenology aims to determine the perspectives and objectives of participants. On the other hand, ethnography is an in-depth study of collective behavior or experiences within a specific group. In other words, ethnography studies culture and people systematically.

The difference between ethnography and phenomenology is quite simple. Ethnography involves studying the behaviour and culture of the people by staying with them. Whereas phenomenology includes lengthy interviews. Ethnography involves data collection by interacting with the community under study, analysing artifacts, documents pertaining to the culture. On the other hand, phenomenology involves data collection via semi-structured or unstructured interviews.

the difference between these two concepts are very simple. 1. Ethnography focuses on collective community and phenomenology focuses on individual behaviour. 2. In ethnography data is collected via observations, interviews and reading documents. Whereas the phenomenology involves data collection via interviews. 3. Ethnography takes a long time to complete, phenomenology can be completed in a shorter duration.
