R software instead of SPSS

I am thinking of using R software instead of SPSS software, but I am confused about my decision as I don’t know when do we use R software instead of SPSS?
So, please help.

For your kind information, all the statistical tools you need for your research are available in R(through packages), and the cherry on the top is that it’s free, multiplatform, and an open source.
So, I think you should definitely go for R

I think you should go for R as R is better than SPSS. As you would be more aware of your subjects if you choose R, instead of just following SPSS drop-down menus.
