I’m planning to conduct research in plasma astrophysics. Before that I want to know what exactly is solar corona.

Corona is the outermost portion of the sun. It is usually hidden by the bright light of the Sun’s surface and can be seen during a total solar eclipse. The corona is approximately 10 million times less dense than Sun’s surface.
