Vinod, at present we can use nano-structures especially ZnO nano-wires and nanotubes to develop proto-type sensitive selective sensors. These sensors operate in small volumes and can also perform real time analysis for physiological species.

Vinod you can use application of nanostructure as electrochemical sensors. In fact already such a sensor has been developed. The sensor is called ‘Intracellular electrochemical nano-sensor’. This sensor can measure the pH, most critical metal ions, cholesterol of the cell, and glucose thereby detecting the health condition of the cell.

Vinod you can definitely use nanostructure applications as electrochemical sensors. Recently a device that includes an optical component to kill a particular cancerous cell after the detection was developed. A device that treats damaged neurons sectors in the nerve system is being proposed.

Few other sensors have also been developed. Read https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2018/an/c8an00497h#!divAbstract, https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2016/ay/c5ay03140k#!divAbstract,https://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/ac5039863.
