How do I learn to format my thesis according to MLA style quickly??

I am in the third year of my PhD program and am encountering hassles formatting my thesis according to the MLA referencing style. I wrote the Literature Review for my thesis in the second year of my PhD, and now I’m unable to access the links that I had selected during the time. Additionally, I am having trouble formatting my paper according to the strict MLA guidelines and end up forgetting to implement one or the other aspect of the formatting. For example, in the last draft that I sent in to my supervisor I forgot to format the long quotes, and the page numbers on a few of the intext citations for the references. My supervisor is kind of getting annoyed with me about this, and has asked me not to send in another draft if the paper is not strictly according to the MLA style guide.  I am really scared, somebody please help me out!

In case you can’t find the links/resources then I’m afraid you will have to revise your literature review and include resources that you can access and have a record of. Although this might seem like a lot of work, it is necessary if you want to maintain a high level of quality in your work, also sending in work that is not referenced properly may lead to your draft getting rejected. If your supervisor is careful enough to examine the work closely and spots these errors you will most likely be asked to revise the entire thesis.  To avoid similar problems in the future I suggest that you use a resource management system such as Mendeley or EndNote.

For problems related to MLA citations, I suggest that you refer to blogs or websites about the referencing style. These blogs are usually up to date with the latest developments related to the referencing style and can be reliable sources of information. I prefer using blogs over websites to keep myself updated of whatever changes MLA makes, as they are updated more often as compared to the content posted on websites. Here are a few common ones where you can find guidelines about MLA style-  http://www.editnpublish.com/blog/ https://www.editnproofread.co.uk/blog/

Hi! You can get your paper professionally edited if you are having a hard time doing it by yourself, there are various organisations that offer such services, check out their pricing and depending on your budget and your submission deadline you can pick the one that appears most suitable to you. I did that too, during my PhD, when I found the task of editing a 80000 word document daunting and was afraid of not doing it thoroughly enough. I got mine edited from Home
