Is the water oxidized in oxygenic photosynethesis process or in anoxygenic photosynthesis process

Does anybody know if the water is oxidized by the photosystem II reaction center in oxygenic photosynethesis process or in anoxygenic photosynthesis process? If possible please give me the equations as well.

I guess in anoxygenic photosynthesis process water will be oxidized by the photosystem II reaction center.

Subba this is not possible in anoxygenic photosynthesis process. It happens in oxygenic photosynthesis process.

I totally agree with venu. This is because, in anoxygenic photosynthetic organisms were evolved from oxygenic photosynthetic organisms and photosynthetic bacteria makes use of light to extract electrons from molecules other than that of water.
