Is there any limitations for centrifugal pump regarding to the shearing?

Absolutely yes. Centrifugal pump has limitations pertaining to shearing. Any pumped medium that is sensitive to shearing will be damaged by the speed of a centrifugal pump’s impeller.

I agree with parul. But then you have an alternative. That is use can use positive displacement pump. Because these pumps have lower speed and centrifugal pumps have higher speed.

o you cannot do that. Because they have many differences between them. Like in centrifugal pump efficiency decreases at higher and as well as lower pressures. But it is vice-versa in case of positive displacement pump. In positive pump flow is insensitive to change in pressure, whereas in centrifugal pump it changes with changing pressure.
