Quality or Quantity?

Hi, there is a constant battle between me and my supervisor as he wants me to stretch my paper and write it in 250 – 300 pages and ignore the quality of the writing. As according to him, nobody reads the paper they just mark you on the basis of the number of pages, but my opinion is altogether different as I believe in quality and think that if the quality of your work is up to the mark, then quantity doesn’t matter.
Please help and tell me what really matters.

Hey, I think you should focus on the quality of your paper, keeping in mind the quantity as according to me to both of them are important.
