WiMax network architecture

I’m interested in WiMAX field. I want to conduct research in this field. I have finalised the topic as well. Before proceeding can someone guide me on WiMAX network architecture.

I’m glad you decided to do your PhD in this field. WiMAX is an very interesting field. This field has a good scope and thus you can build your career in the same. The WiMAX network architecture was developed by the WiMAX form. The WiMAX network architecture is based upon an all-IP model. The network architecture comprises three major elements: Mobile stations: These equipments may be fixed and may be located around the user. Access Service Network, ASN: This area of the WiMAX network that forms the radio access network at the edge and comprises one or more base stations and ASN gateways. Connectivity Service Network, CSN: This part provides the IP connectivity and all the IP core network functions.
