How to activate my RG score?

As an early-career researcher building my online presence, I've uploaded my publications to ResearchGate. I see colleagues have an "RG Score," but my profile doesn't display one yet. I'm unsure if this is an automatic process or if I need to take specific steps to activate it and make my contributions visible within their scoring algorithm.

From my experience advising PhD students on academic visibility, the RG Score isn't something you "activate" like a switch. It's an algorithmic metric ResearchGate calculates automatically based on engagement with your profile and work. To generate a score, you need to build an active profile. I recommend ensuring all your publications are correctly uploaded, asking and answering questions in your field on the platform, and connecting with other researchers. The score then emerges as a function of reads, citations, project updates, and question participation. Think of it as a reflection of your network activity, not a static number you turn on
