Narrow AI is also known as weak AI, whereas general AI is often called as strong AI. In simple words, weak AI lacks human consciousness. THey have specific consciousness. Weak AI helps turn big data into usable information by detecting patterns and making predictions. General artificial intelligence also known as strong artificial Intelligence (AI) is equal to human intelligence. Strong AI have the ability to reason, solve puzzles, make judgments, plan, learn and communicate.

In narrow artificial intelligence a technology outperforms humans and focuses on a single subset of cognitive abilities. Artificial general intelligence can do different kinds of tasks. It simulates wide range of human intellect, rather than focusing on more specific or narrower types of tasks.
