How to determine P-value on null hypothesis?

Follow the following steps.
1. look at your statistics for the apt distribution
2. find the probability of your test statistics
3. If Ha includes a less-than alternative, the probability that Z is less than the test statistics. 
If it is greater than the alternative, then the probability that z will be more than test statistics.
