The systematic sampling method is the easiest sampling method. It is linear and the individuals are selected from a random group.  Stratified sampling is an approach where the initial population is segregated into separate groups. These groups are then called as strata.

Systematic sampling is often used instead of random sampling method. Here a list of members in a group is created.  And then from the list created, an element is randomly chosen. In stratified sampling the population is segregated into groups  and from each group a random sample is selected.
