Why use high throughput DNA sequencing method rather than sanger sequencing approach? Is there any limitation?

Although sanger sequencing method is used to determine the sequencing of long stretches, it cannot be used when a large number of molecules are to be sequenced.  That is when high throughput DNA sequencing is used.

For large number molecules to sequenced at lower cost, we have to use high throughput sequencing method.

I don’t think there is any limitation associated with sanger sequencing method.  High throughput sequencing is used to understand single-nucleotide polymorphism whereas Sanger sequencing is used for denovo initial sequencing.
