The most popularly used concentrator technology is luminescent concentrator. In this type of concentrator,    light will be refracted in a luminescent film and will then be channelled towards the photovoltaic material.   Today, in the majority of the concentrating PV cell. This technology is used as it is very promising and    does not need optical lenses or mirrors. Also it won’t require tracking as it works with diffuse light.

parabolic mirror technology is widely used in concentrating PV cell. Here all incoming parallel light will    be reflected by the first mirror/collector via focal point onto a second mirror.    The second mirror will be much smaller than the first and is also in parabolic mirror form.    This mirror reflects the light beams to the center of the first parabolic mirror.    The benefit of using this technology is that it doesn’t require optical lenses as in other configuration.

According to me, among all kinds of technology, the most popular concentrator technology is reflectors.    In this configuration, low concentration PV modules utilise mirrors to focus sunlight onto the solar cell.    Such mirrors are produced with silicone-covered metal. The best advantage of this technique is that    it lowers the reflection losses with the help of second internal mirror.
