Hypothesis to showcase absence of relationship between variables

Choosing hypothesis in social science is indeed confusing due to the availability of wide variety of hypotheses.
I guess you can go with complex hypothesis to represent the absence of the relationship.

you cannot use complex hypothesis in this case. Complex hypothesis represents relationship between more than two variables.

The hypothesis that fits right is null hypothesis. For example, the literacy rate has no relationship between the employment rate.
Null hypothesis is designed so that you disapprove or nullify the null hypothesis to represent relationship. In simple words, it is designed as a reverse strategy.
