This type of validity is widely used in social science and psychology. Concurrent validity is nothing but a measure of how well a specific test agrees with previously validated measures.

it’s very simple. This type of validity relies upon tests that were conducted at the same time.   Typically, it means evaluating the subjects at exactly the same moment, but with a few acceptable approximation.   One common approach of looking at this type of validity is as a procedure or measuring a new test against a standard benchmark.

Consider this example. An individual is testing a group of students for intelligence using an IQ test at a particular moment.  And then a new intelligence test is conducted after a couple of days, which is perfectly acceptable.  However, if the test is conducted after a considerable amount of time of the initial test, then it will be regarded as predictive validity.
