Working of synchrotron accelerator

A Synchrotron accelerates particles such as electrons into an orbit at the speed of light. 
If the electrons are via magnetic fields, a bright light ( brighter than sunlight) is produced.

Yes, absolutely. It makes use of powerful magnets or sometimes radio frequency waves to accelerate electrons 
or other charged particles. The powerful magnet accelerate electrons at a location where they reach high speed 
(near steel rings of tube).  As the magnets are turned on and off, the particles get pulled along the ring of tubes. 
As you know fast moving electrons emit light of various wavelengths, the light of desired wavelength can be selected.
