I would suggest you to go with Eviews. It has robust analytic tools, has sophisticated data management, easy-to-use interface and traditional command line.

Eviews is good software. It can rapidly analyse time series and longitudinal data, produces high-quality graphs or tables, and streamlines econometric modelling.

Well, according to me Gretl is better than Eviews. This is because it has a variety of estimators, GUI controller for fine-tuning, has limited dependent variables and easy intuitive interface.

Gretl is a great tool. It has output models as LaTex files, parallelization via MPI, supports machine learning, and can operate on time series approaches.
